German Vehicle Diagnostic Service – $159.95

Full Electronic Diagnostic

Is your German vehicle running poorly? Is the check engine, ABS, airbag, or other light on? The issue could be as simple as lousy gas or as complex as an internal engine repair. Either way, S&I can help. Our ASE-certified technicians, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, diagnose the issue and get you safely back on the road.

What is this service?

Regular check-engine light diagnostics ensure your vehicle’s safe working condition. Once your onboard computer is scanned, and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are retrieved, we diagnose the malfunction.

We conduct an electronic scan of the ECU, airbags, ABS, engine, and transmission information systems. We visually inspect the engine compartment for obvious electrical or vacuum-related conditions. We also analyze the battery and charging system. Additionally, we perform one or more of the following tests: fuel pressure, spark, compression, and individual component testing. Finally, we provide a detailed explanation of the malfunction’s cause and an estimate for repair.

Why is this service recommended?

Many critical problems can go unnoticed and are almost impossible for even a certified technician to pinpoint without a professional diagnostic tool. If your check engine light is on, engine diagnostic services are the best way to determine the exact reason. There are several possible reasons for an illuminated and/or flashing check-engine light, including:

    • Regularly scheduled engine maintenance, such as an oil change, may be the cause.
    • Sensors or brake systems may require reset or adjustment.
    • Engine, electrical, or vehicle computer performance issues may be the problem.

How does our service help?

Your vehicle provides critical information in dashboard lights. If the check engine light is illuminated, it’s essential to take your car into service as soon as possible.

How often should I perform this service?

For optimal vehicle safety and reliability, engine checks should be a part of your annual vehicle maintenance, even if no check engine light is on or flashing.
